In 1923, Paul Forkardt established the now globally-acting company. It includes Forkardt companies in Europe, in the USA, and India, as well as a partner company in Japan.

Forkardt Switzerland has focused on high precision clamping from the beginning. It concentrated primarily on customer-specific clamping requirements. The high precision chucking systems of Forkardt Switzerland come in where others are at a loss.

The Forkardt company was taken over by a well known machine tool manufacturer early in 2013.

As a result of the take-over a conflict of interest occured with Forkardt Switzerland. This situation was resolved by the management buy-out in 2014. Since January 1st 2014, we are SwissChuck.
